Estate Planning Document Checklist

The following are documents you should have in a safe place but accessible: 

  • Names and addresses of your beneficiaries 

  • A list of your assets and liabilities 

    • ASSETS: Property addresses, bank accounts, investment accounts, retirement accounts, and insurance policies

    • LIABILITIES: Mortgages, car loans, credit card balances, and other debts

  • Any current documents you have (will, trust agreement, power of attorney, etc.) 

  • Information about any business interests you may have, including ownership percentages and the value of businesses 

  • All questions, concerns, or goals regarding your personalized documents
