Document Everything: The Paper Trail That Protects You 

The caseworker will request extensive financial documentation - typically five years' worth of bank statements, investment records, property deeds, and documentation for every single transaction. 

Start gathering these documents now. Create a comprehensive file that includes: 

  • Bank and investment account statements 

  • Deeds and titles to property and vehicles 

  • Insurance policies 

  • Pension and Social Security information 

  • Tax returns 

  • Records of any significant gifts or transfers 

Being able to document the reason for every significant financial transaction will make the application process infinitely smoother.
