NJ DWI Law Further Updated

To add on to our previous post, our understanding of the final bill that was signed actually amends the law as follows:

• for first offense DWI or refusal: driver’s license suspension only until interlock is installed. However, if BAC is over .15,
then suspension is a mandatory 4-6 months.

• for second offense DWI or refusal: 1 – 2 year driver’s license suspension.

• for third offense DWI or refusal: 8 years driver’s license suspension.
